Indiependence 2014 has added a stellar list of acts to their already eclectic line-up including Hozier, the Minutes, Elastic Sleep, the Vincents and the Altered Hours.

The acts announced to be joining the Indiependence 2014 bill will include Hozier, the Minutes, VANN music, Tvvins, Dan Croll, Hudson Taylor, Elastic Sleep, the Altered Hours, the Vincents, Slow Motion Heroes and more.

The group will feature alongside artists such as hip-hop legends Public Enemy, singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill and alternative-rock act We Cut Corners.

Running from Friday, August 1st to Sunday August 3rd (August Bank Holiday Weekend) Cork Indiependence will ring in it’s sophomore year this summer at Deer Farm in Mitchelstown,

Paolo Nutini adds second Marquee in Cork show

Singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini has added a second date at the Marquee in Cork this summer, set for Wednesday July 9th.

Following the Scottish musician’s show on Tuesday, July 8th Nutini will perform a second show at the Cork music festival as the songwriter tours his upcoming third studio album Caustic Love which is due for release on April 11th.

This year’s Live at the Marquee in Cork will also see a stellar line-up of artists perform at the venue including Bob Dylan, the National, Imelda May, Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters Elbow, Pixies, Biffy Clyro, Passenger, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Corona’s and the Boomtown Rats.

Singer-songwriter Ciara Donnelly will perform live on the Voice of the Ireland tomorrow night (Sunday March 23rd at 6.30pm on RTÉ One). The artist recently spoke to theLastMixedTape about her band Yellowbridge, their début E.P and future material.

A lot has happened since the release of Yellowbridge’s début E.P how do you feel you’ve developed as a songwriter in this time?

I think I came away from the E.P happy but driven to write tracks that were now a little more relevant to the space I was in-as I had written the other tracks 1-2 years really before I released them!
